Active Studio Monitors – Built-In Amplification, Matched to the Drivers
An active monitor pairs each driver with an amplifier tuned specifically for it — better cone control, lower distortion, and one fewer thing to mismatch. Active is the default choice in most studios today, from bedroom setups to professional control rooms.
Two-way, three-way or coaxial
A two-way design like ADAM T7V covers most nearfield needs with a woofer and tweeter. Three-way monitors add a dedicated midrange driver for more even dispersion at higher volumes. Coaxial designs such as Genelec 8341A mount the tweeter inside the woofer, aligning the sound source in time and space for a more precise stereo image.
Where to start
For a first serious pair of nearfields, ADAM T7V is where we send most people. Want a step up in resolution and room-correction options? Genelec 8030C is the reference a lot of engineers compare everything else to. Tight on desk space? IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII packs serious output into a compact desktop footprint.
The brands we carry
We carry Genelec, ADAM Audio, IK Multimedia, Dynaudio and PSI Audio.
Hear it in our Warsaw showroom
The biggest difference between us and a mail-order shop: you can hear the gear before you buy it. Our showroom at Nowogrodzka 6A/102 in Warsaw is there so you can try it on your own material, not a shop demo. Book a visit or just swing by — we'll help without the sales pitch. Call: +48 573 580 840.
FAQ
Do I need three-way monitors for a small room?
Usually not — a well-designed two-way covers most nearfield listening distances. Three-way pays off more in larger rooms and at higher monitoring levels.
What does coaxial actually improve?
Time and phase alignment between the tweeter and woofer, which sharpens the stereo image — most noticeable off-axis and in smaller rooms where you're not perfectly centered.
Active monitors or passive with a separate amp?
Active for almost everyone — the amp is matched to the driver at the factory, and there's one less variable to get wrong. Passive is a deliberate choice for engineers who want to select their own amplification.
