Stage Pianos – Lightweight Keyboards Built for Gigging

Stage Pianos – Lightweight Keyboards Built for Gigging

A stage piano trades some of a full digital piano's bulk for what actually matters at a gig: weight you can carry alone, a case that survives load-in, and sounds that cut through a mix without much tweaking. This collection covers stage pianos built for touring and regular gigging.

Weight and action vs portability

The lightest stage pianos use a semi-weighted or lighter hammer action to shave kilos off the case — great for a keyboardist carrying their own gear, less ideal if piano touch is your priority. If action quality matters more than the last few kilos, Nord Grand 2 keeps a serious hammer action in a still-gig-friendly package.

Where to start

Need one lightweight all-rounder for covers and function gigs? Kurzweil SP7 is a solid, no-fuss starting point. Prioritizing premium piano touch above all else? Nord Grand 2 or Nord Piano 6 are as close to acoustic feel as a stage piano gets. Playing more organ and synth textures than piano? Arturia AstroLab 61 is built around exactly that balance.

The brands we carry

We carry Nord, Studiologic, Kurzweil, Korg and Arturia.

Hear it in our Warsaw showroom

The biggest difference between us and a mail-order shop: you can hear the gear before you buy it. Our showroom at Nowogrodzka 6A/102 in Warsaw is there so you can try it on your own material, not a shop demo. Book a visit or just swing by — we'll help without the sales pitch. FAQ

Is a stage piano's lighter action a real downgrade?

It's a trade-off, not a downgrade — lighter actions are tuned for speed and playability under a gigging keyboardist's hands, not for matching an acoustic grand exactly.

Do I need built-in speakers on a stage piano?

No, most gigging setups go through a PA or monitor system anyway. Built-in speakers add weight for a feature you'll rarely use on stage.

How many sounds do I actually need for gigging?

Fewer than the spec sheet suggests. Most working keyboardists settle into 5–10 sounds they actually use and ignore the rest of the preset list entirely.
