Do I need networked audio for a home or small project studio?
Almost never — this is built for larger installs, broadcast, and touring rigs where channel count and cable-run distance matter. USB or Thunderbolt covers a normal studio.
Is Dante compatible with other network protocols?
Not natively, but bridges exist to connect Dante with SoundGrid, AES67 and other formats — see our Converters category for dedicated bridging hardware.
What hardware do I need beyond the interface itself?
A network switch that properly supports audio-over-IP traffic — not every consumer switch handles the timing requirements correctly. Ask us before you build out a networked install.
