Focusrite RedNet HD32R — a 1U interface bridging Pro Tools|HD and HDX systems to a Dante network through Mini DigiLink connectors, delivering full 32x32 channel I/O without changing existing Pro Tools workflow.
HD32R behaves like a standard 64-channel (32 in/32 out) break in/out box, appearing in Pro Tools exactly as any other supported interface — Dante sources and destinations are assigned to Pro Tools inputs and outputs with no new way of working to learn. Supported systems include Pro Tools|HDX, HD Native, HD Native Thunderbolt and legacy HD TDM, and up to six HD32R modules can be connected to a single HDX system to reach its maximum channel count.
Full 32-channel Pro Tools|HD I/O without giving up Dante
Each HD32R connected directly to a Mini DigiLink port on an HDX or HD card provides a full 32 inputs and outputs, bringing the entire Dante ecosystem — from RedNet to third-party analogue and digital interfaces — onto Pro Tools without swapping a computer card and without sacrificing the low latency of Pro Tools|HD cards. Where a free DigiLink port isn't available, Expansion Mode lets you connect an existing 16-channel Pro Tools|HD interface to the HD32R's expansion port, combining for a full 32 channels on a single card port.
Critical redundancy and integration with existing HD gear
Two independent power supplies with fault detection and locking IEC inlets, plus dual etherCON ports running in redundant, switched or daisy-chain mode, protect the session against signal interruption in critical-path production. Word Clock and Loop Sync on BNC connectors integrate HD32R with existing HD I/O or Sync HD I/O interfaces without an extra clock converter, and remote control and metering through RedNet Control give full visibility into the unit's status without walking over to the rack.
