ELTA MUSIC Solar 42N Blue – an analogue ambient and drone synthesizer built for deep textural sound-design, microtonal experimentation and evolving atmospheres. It features eight oscillator units: six dedicated drone voices for dense harmonic layers and two v/octave VCOs with waveform morphing and sub-oscillators for melodic or tonal work. Together with its expressive performance controls, the Solar 42N Blue is a self-contained ecosystem for immersive sonic exploration.

The instrument includes dual 12 dB Polivoks-style analogue filters with distortion, a 5-step sequencer, five LFOs and two sample-and-hold generators, allowing continuous motion, modulation and unpredictability. A built-in stereo effects system using interchangeable cartridges adds characteristic colour, ambience and texture. External audio input, contact-mic preamp and envelope follower open the door to hybrid setups and experimental processing.

The “Blue” version offers the same electronics and architecture as all Solar 42N variants, distinguished only by its vivid blue finish. Ideal for ambient producers, sound designers, experimental musicians and film composers seeking a powerful, hands-on instrument for atmospheric sound creation.
