ELTA MUSIC Solar 42N Black – an analogue ambient and drone synthesizer built for deep sound-design, microtonal exploration and evolving atmospheric textures. It features eight oscillator units (six dedicated drone voices plus two v/octave VCOs with waveform morphing), dual Polivoks-style filters, a stereo mixer and hands-on performative tools including a joystick and touch-strip controller.

The Solar 42N Black delivers rich, evolving drones, shifting harmonics and expressive modulation thanks to its five LFOs, two sample-and-hold generators and a 5-step sequencer. The instrument includes a cartridge-based stereo effects system, allowing instant character changes and additional sound processing. External audio input, contact-mic preamp and envelope follower make it ideal for experimental setups and hybrid sound-design workflows.

This Black version features the same sonic engine and architecture as other colour variants, offering a sleek, minimal aesthetic for studio or stage environments. Designed for ambient musicians, sound designers and composers working with texture-based music, the Solar 42N is a powerful standalone instrument that encourages exploration and organic evolution of sound.
