Solton SUB 4018 A is an active, self-powered subwoofer with two 18-inch drivers, built for applications that need maximum low-end SPL while keeping tight control over where that energy goes on stage. A built-in Class D amplifier rated at 3200 W RMS paired with a DSP processor delivers strong headroom and precise driver control under full load, and peak power reaching 9600 W handles short transients without losing control.

Onboard Amplification and DSP Instead of an External Processor

The amplifier panel offers mono and stereo operation plus a polarity inversion function, letting engineers dial in phase alignment against the rest of the system without an outboard loudspeaker processor. Built-in crossover points at 80 Hz, 100 Hz, and 120 Hz give ready-made settings matched to different mid-high cabinet types, and a limiter with over-voltage protection safeguards the drivers without relying on external protection circuits.

Cardioid Mode for Bass Dispersion Control

A cardioid mode reduces bass radiation toward the stage and behind the cluster, which directly improves monitor mix clarity and cuts unwanted room excitation at high output levels. Four integrated handles make the 100 kg cabinet easier to move despite its size, and the reinforced enclosure supports safe stacking of multiple subwoofers in larger system configurations without shifting.
