Solton QX 700 is a two-channel Class AB power amplifier in a 1U chassis, built as a straightforward, reliable tool for portable PA systems and smaller installations. It delivers 200 W per channel into 8 ohms, 350 W per channel into 4 ohms, and up to 650 W bridged into 8 ohms, with distortion below 0.1% across 20 Hz to 20 kHz. A 10.5 kg net weight and standard 483 mm rack width let it sit in a typical touring rack without adding unnecessary bulk.

Three Operating Modes in One Unit

A mode switch selects between stereo operation with two independent channels, parallel mode feeding both outputs from a single input signal, or bridged mode combining both channels into one higher-power output. An input sensitivity switch, with settings at 1.4 V, 1.0 V, and 0.775 V, matches input level to a specific mixer without adjusting gain separately on every unit in the chain.

Straightforward Handling on the Road

Female XLR inputs and male XLR link connectors make it fast to daisy-chain several amplifiers in one system without extra signal splitters. Speaker outputs are available as both Speakon and binding posts, giving flexibility when connecting different speaker types. Short circuit and overload protection combined with soft start keeps the amplifier and connected gear safe during everyday touring use, while an 8 A fuse adds a further layer of protection for the electrical supply.
