Solton HD 12 P is a passive two-way fullrange loudspeaker in a multi-angle PP composite enclosure with IP54 certification — dust-proof and splash-resistant, designed for permanent outdoor and semi-outdoor installations and portable PA in demanding environments. The 12" Neodymium driver on a 3" voice coil is a weather-protected transducer; the 1.75" voice coil, 1" exit HF compression driver completes the top end through a passive 2.7 kHz crossover with PTC protection. At 14 kg and 365 x 605 x 360 mm it is one of the lightest passive 12" cabinets with an environmental rating in the Solton range.
IP54 enclosure and weather-protected driver — passive outdoor operation without covers
The PP composite enclosure with weather-resistant finish and perforated steel grille with acoustically transparent foam backing achieves IP54 — complete dust protection and resistance to water spray from any direction. The 12" Neodymium driver on a 3" voice coil uses a sealed cone surround and sealed magnet assembly, maintaining transducer performance and longevity under prolonged moisture and dust exposure. The passive 2.7 kHz crossover with PTC protection requires no external electronics — the HD 12 P connects directly to any amplifier channel, including DSP-equipped amplifiers like the DAP 48 or DSP 206 N. The 90° x 60° nominal coverage pattern is fixed — consistent, predictable directivity at all drive levels without a rotating horn. Two NL4 connectors (pins 1+/1-) and two side handles serve installation wiring and transport.
Outdoor, terrace, garden, club — one cabinet, four environments
The HD 12 P eliminates the need for separate weather covers or system teardown at weather changes — the cabinet stays mounted permanently regardless of conditions. The pole-mount socket accepts a speaker stand or steel installation pole. The RM10 ring screw (art. 12516) supports point suspension. Recommended subwoofers and system amplifiers: HD 181 Sub, DP 1800, DX 48, DAP 48, DSP 206 N.
