Solton CX 15Hi+

Solton CX 15 Hi+ is a two-way horn-loaded coaxial loudspeaker built for fixed installations that need wide, predictable directivity control and high efficiency from a compact enclosure. A 2.5-inch compression driver with a 1.4-inch exit couples to a large constant-directivity 90° H x 40° V horn, while a horn-loaded 15-inch low-frequency driver sits behind the HF horn in a classic coaxial arrangement. That layout keeps a consistent acoustic center across the band, which matters when covering long throws with even sound.

Precise Directivity Control Over Long Throws

A rotatable 90° H x 40° V horn lets the coverage angle be matched to a specific room or stadium geometry without swapping the cabinet, and an extended crossover with HF driver protection guards the compression driver against overload at full power. A 104 dB sensitivity and a maximum peak SPL of 138 dB deliver strong output from a single cabinet, reducing the number of loudspeaker points needed to cover a larger audience.

Built to Handle Installation Conditions

The enclosure, made of 15 mm birch plywood, is coated inside and out with two layers of black weather-resistant polyurea, and specialized coatings on the low-frequency driver protect it from moisture in outdoor installations. An integrated ANCRA rail system simplifies mounting the cabinet in fixed installations, cutting down on extra rigging hardware. A perforated steel grille backed with acoustically transparent foam protects the drivers from mechanical damage without affecting sound quality.
