Solton aart T-12 A

Solton aart T-12 A is an active two-way bi-amped loudspeaker built around a 12" Neodymium woofer on a 3" (75 mm) voice coil and a 1.75" voice coil, 1" exit HF compression driver, driven by a dual-channel Class D bi-amp with integrated two-channel DSP. At 16 kg and 380 x 585 x 350 mm it is one of the most transport-friendly 12" active tops in the Solton range — compact enough for stage monitor or installation duty, with 500 W continuous and 2000 W peak power to cover events of 300 to 400 people.

12" Neodymium driver and bi-amp DSP — full clarity without outboard processing

The 12" Neodymium driver on a 3" (75 mm) voice coil delivers 98 dB sensitivity at 1 W/1 m and a maximum SPL of 125 dB continuous / 131 dB peak — figures that compete with many passive 15" cabinets in the mid-price bracket, at a fraction of the size and weight. The 1.75" voice coil, 1" exit HF compression driver covers the top end, with the active DSP handling the crossover through four factory presets: fullrange, MF/HF, stage monitor and installation. The 90° x 60° constant-directivity horn rotates by hand between vertical and horizontal orientation without tools. Mic/Line input with high-resolution preamp and switchable Mix OUT handle zone chaining or signal monitoring directly from the cabinet. The dual-band limiter protects LF and HF drivers independently without affecting dynamics at normal working levels.

Multifunctional top — stage monitor, installation, standalone PA

The monitor DSP preset, multi-angle enclosure and seven M8 inserts make the aart T-12 A genuinely versatile — it works as a stage wedge monitor, a stand-mounted top fed from an external amplifier, or an active main top in a system with the aart SUB 15 A or SUB 18 A. The TU Frame fly bracket (art. 12522) supports flying in permanent installations without additional adapters. At 16 kg one engineer handles a full stereo setup without a trolley.
