JZ Microphones Vintage 67 is a large-diaphragm condenser with a 25 mm Golden Drop capsule and a cardioid pattern, hand-built in Latvia. The shock-mount system is part of the body, so no external cradle is needed to put it to work.

One microphone across four different sources

A MIX Magazine reviewer listed the V67 as a mic that worked on a guitar amp, over a drum kit, on tenor saxophone and on male vocals — four jobs that usually call for four different microphones. That comes from a voicing without pronounced lifts: the response is even, and 134 dB maximum SPL lets you put it close to a speaker without a pad. In a small room where the budget does not stretch to a dedicated mic locker, that is real money saved.

No shock mount to buy on top

The shock-mount system is built into the body — the capsule is mechanically decoupled inside the housing. The microphone screws straight onto the stand and does not claim the extra 15 cm a spider would take. Under a low ceiling on overheads, or in a tight cabinet-miking position, that difference decides whether the mic gets into place at all.
