A single Powerbar PSU covers this configuration with fully isolated DC voltage and audio paths. It is the right scale for environments that combine ensemble tracking with extended overdub sessions and hybrid analog/DAW mixing workflows, without requiring the physical footprint or dual PSU infrastructure of the larger frames.

Wunderbahn Summing Architecture Across 24 Channels

The Fully Balanced Busing Scheme removes ground from the audio path across all 24 channels — the same discrete summing architecture as the 48- and 56-channel configurations, delivering the same increase in dynamic range and reduction in residual noise. The three stereo bus amplifiers — Wunder, Neve 1272, and API 312 — operate independently or cascade simultaneously, with proportions adjusted by six master faders in the center section. At 24 channels, routing different instrument groups to different bus flavors becomes a direct mixing decision: drums and rhythm section through the API character, vocals and keys through the Neve texture, all within the same session. All 24 channels carry transformer-balanced Direct Outputs and Insert Send/Return loops. The 1046 Routing Modules are fully transformer-balanced Class-A Discrete, with a flip-able monitor fader, six group buses with illuminated switches, four aux sends switchable pre/post, Pan Defeat, 48V phantom power, and Opto Silent Mute.

D-Sub Connectivity and Build Specification

In Super D format, all connections across each eight-channel section run on D-Sub 25 connectors: Mic Input, Line Input, Direct Output, Routing Module Input, Insert Send, Insert Return, DAW Input, and DAW Mult. Across 24 channels that means three eight-channel D-Sub sections — a clean, fast wiring architecture for hybrid analog/DAW setups where rear-of-desk organization directly affects session speed.
