Wolff Audio ProPatch 128R – a next-generation, software-controlled analog patch bay featuring 128 patch points (64x64 I/O) and an ultra-transparent relay-based signal path.

The ProPatch 128R is designed for studios that demand maximum routing flexibility with zero sonic compromise. At its core is a dense matrix of relays with no FET switches and no active electronics in the audio path, effectively creating a straight-wire connection between devices. This architecture delivers 0% added distortion and noise across a bandwidth that extends from DC to the limits of the test equipment, while safely passing mic-level audio (including 48 V phantom power), line-level signals, control voltage, MIDI, digital audio and timecode.

All routing is configured via an intuitive app for Windows, macOS and iPadOS, enabling fast creation of complex chains including mults, mono-to-stereo blocks, inserts, processors and A/B paths. Every configuration can be stored, recalled and associated with specific sessions, letting you treat hardware like plug-ins – drag and drop devices into chains, audition alternatives and switch setups instantly. Latching relays ensure that current routings remain in place even if power is lost, and the last-used configuration is automatically reloaded on power-up.

The rear panel provides high-density DB25 connectivity for 48 channels of I/O, while the front panel adds 16 TT I/O pairs, 4 XLR/TRS combo jacks and 4 TRS 1/4" jacks for integrating existing TT systems, quickly patching guest gear or expanding larger ProPatch-based networks. Occupying a single rack unit, the 128R runs cool, requires no fans and delivers one of the highest channel densities per rack space of any traditional or automated patch bay.
