Vermona DRM1 MKIV Trigger is the DRM1 MKIV analog drum synthesizer with the optional analog trigger inputs installed. It has the same eight instrument channels and 73 knobs, and adds ten 6.3 mm mono jacks so the drum voices can be played from analog sequencers, modular systems and other gear that sends gate signals.
Trigger from any analog source
The inputs accept 2 V to 11 V and support three modes: Gate, Gate plus Accent, and Gate plus Dynamics. Both the MIDI and the trigger inputs respond to velocity or dynamics, and the voltage level at a trigger input can be used to shape the hit. The gate-to-MIDI conversion turns the incoming impulses into MIDI messages that leave through USB or the 5-pin DIN output, so the unit can also drive other MIDI gear.
Eight instruments, one panel
Kick, Drum 1, Drum 2, Multi, Snare, Hihat 1, Hihat 2 and Clap each have their own analog circuit and outputs, so you can play them from a sequencer and process every instrument separately.
