Van Damme Neutrik NP2X 5 m is a ready-made instrument cable using British Van Damme cable, terminated at both ends with Neutrik NP2X connectors — the 1/4-inch mono jack that workshops have fitted for years for one reason: it does not fall apart.
Five metres of freedom without losing the top end
An instrument cable is unbalanced, so every metre of length and every weak spot in the screen shows up as a dulled top end and audible hum. Van Damme cable uses a dense screen that keeps mains and lighting buzz out — precisely the noise people later try, and fail, to gate away.
A connector that survives the tour
The NP2X has a metal body and a strain relief that transfers the pull to the jacket rather than the solder joint. A guitar lead almost always dies where the cable leaves the plug, when someone steps on it or yanks it — here that point is protected by design.
