Universal Audio UAD-2 OCTO Core is a sound card with a PCIe digital signal processor, 8 SHARC 21469 co-processors and a bundle of classic analog plug-ins included. Supports Mac/PC and AAX, VST, AU, RTAS formats.

Universal Audio UAD-2 cards have an advantage over the competition thanks to their advanced signal processor technology. Each of the 8 built-in SHARC co-processors has a 32-bit architecture with variable precision, which ensures maximum data transfer accuracy and card efficiency. During power tests, the potential of even a single UAD-2 system is more than impressive. If that's not enough, you can connect up to 4 UAD-2 cards or accelerators to meet the most demanding recording needs.

Using LiveTrack mode, you can reduce the latency on the active UAD-2 to the lowest possible level. A convenient LoadLock function is also available for the mixing process. This handy tool allows you to automatically reserve the maximum DSP load that may be required by the active plug-in.

The set of plug-ins included in the package is quite extensive. It starts with a few classic dynamics processors: the legendary LA-2A leveler and 1176LN/SE amplifiers. There are also reconstructions of Pultec EQP-1A equalizer programs, Pultec Pro EQ and the amazing RealVerb Pro space imitator.
