Standard Audio Level OR MKII Dual

Standard Audio Level OR MKII Dual is a two-channel version of the same JFET-limiter/distortion circuit as the 500-series module, built into its own 19" rack chassis with a dedicated linear power supply, so it doesn't need a 500-series lunchbox to run. It's the largest and most expensive model in the Standard Audio range, alongside the 500-series Level OR and Stretch modules.

Not just two channels in one box

Each channel carries the same MODE (LEVEL/BYP/CRUNCH) and SPEED switches as the single module, but the Dual adds three things the 500-series version doesn't have: a MIX knob for parallel blending, a LINK switch (IND — channels independent, S/C LINK — the two limiters' sidechains linked when both channels run LEVEL mode, CASCADE — channel 1's output feeds channel 2's input), and XLR connectors instead of the 500-series format alone.

A ready-made stereo limiter, not just two single modules

S/C LINK mode lets both sides of a stereo signal react together, keeping the L/R balance intact under aggressive limiting, while CASCADE routes a signal through two different settings in sequence without external patching. A universal linear power supply and a solid steel-and-aluminium 1U chassis make the Dual a self-contained tool for a mix bus or mastering chain, not just a pair of single modules sharing a rack. Building it as its own rack unit rather than another 500-series module makes sense for studios that want a ready stereo processor without giving up two slots in a 500-series lunchbox.
