SSQ XX5 is a five metre microphone cable terminated with a male XLR plug and a female XLR socket. It is made in Poland and carries a lifetime warranty.

A balanced signal without hum

Five metres is the working length for a session and for the stage: the microphone stands where it needs to, not where the cable reaches. A balanced connection only works when both signal conductors are shielded equally, otherwise the interference rejection stops being effective. A copper braid shield with at least 90 percent coverage cuts out hum from power supplies, lighting and wireless transmitters, while OFC copper in the conductors does not oxidise where the cable bends.
