SSQ RCARCA1 — a one-metre 2xRCA to 2xRCA audio cable from the Polish brand SSQ (Sound Station Quality), built for line-level connections in studio and stage setups. The conductor is made from oxygen-free Polish copper, and the plugs are hand-soldered with lead-free tin and silver, then finished with 24-karat gold plating. A copper braid shield covers at least 90% of the cable, cutting down on susceptibility to electromagnetic interference over longer cable runs in a rack or on stage. The connectors carry strain relief against the cable being pulled out, and the manufacturer backs the cable with a lifetime warranty.

Shielding above the market norm

Cheaper RCA cables often shield only around 30% of the signal conductor's surface, which over longer runs near power supplies, transformers, or stage lighting easily introduces hum and noise. RCARCA1 shields at a minimum 90% coverage, so a line signal - a mixer's monitor output feeding an outboard processor, say - arrives with a lower noise floor even in a rack packed with electronic gear.

Built to survive daily plugging and unplugging

RCA connectors on cheap cables tend to crack or lose contact at the solder joint after a few months of frequent connecting and disconnecting - a routine situation in a studio or when setting up and breaking down gear on tour. RCARCA1's plugs carry strain relief protecting the conductor from being pulled out of the connector housing, and the hand-soldered tin-silver joint reduces the risk of a cracked connection when the cable flexes. A heat-shrink band at the ends and an included velcro tie keep the cable run organized and reduce mechanical stress at the most failure-prone point.
