Both units run from a shared stereo BP-013 power supply with built-in -20dB pads, connected via two 4-pin cables, removing the need for separate power supplies per channel.
Consistent stereo color without two separate power supplies
A pair of tube mics running from two independent supplies can drift out of alignment - small differences in voltage or tube aging pull the stereo image toward one channel. The shared BP-013 supply solves this with a single power source for both capsules, so an engineer sets the pair up on overheads, piano, or a string section and gets a symmetrical stereo image without manually trimming levels between channels, cutting the time it takes to land on the final mix balance.
Tube color without losing transient speed
A small, low-mass diaphragm tracks fast transients well - a struck cymbal, a plucked string - but on many tube designs that speed comes at the cost of warmth and density. The S13 capsule in the 013 TUBE-M combines both: a precise transient attack and the smooth, musical coloration of the tube circuit, so recordings of an orchestra, choir, or drum kit keep detail without turning sterile or clinical.
