Unlike fragile vintage ribbon microphones, the Sontronics DELTA 2 features an active preamp circuit powered by standard 48V phantom power. Combined with custom-wound UK transformers, this setup guarantees a remarkably high output signal with an incredibly low self-noise floor of just 10dB. A massive innovation in the DELTA 2 is the inclusion of built-in RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) filters that actively reject unwanted buzz and interference from stage electronics, making it a flawlessly reliable choice for both high-end studio recording and demanding live tours.

Utilizing a true figure-of-eight polar pattern, the microphone captures the direct punch of your amp from the front while recording natural room ambiance from the rear.
