Conceived by founder Trevor Coley and extensively beta-tested by renowned producers and engineers at Abbey Road Studios, the ARIA features a hand-selected, premium European 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tube. Tailored specifically for vocal recording, it delivers a stunningly silky-smooth sound profile, boasting an exceptionally flat response with a subtle presence lift and the brand's signature high-frequency roll-off, resulting in a naturally warm tone free from harshness.

Housed behind its striking chrome grille is a bespoke 1.07-inch, edge-terminated capsule designed to capture every delicate nuance and breathtaking detail of male and female vocals alike. Operating with a fixed cardioid polar pattern, it excels at isolating the primary sound source. While the Sontronics ARIA is celebrated as an exceptional vocal mic—trusted by artists like Adele and Ed Sheeran—it is equally remarkable when put to task on grand piano, acoustic guitars, cellos, and orchestral room miking, yielding lush, mix-ready tracks that require minimal post-processing or EQ.

Included with the microphone is the dedicated SPS-2 power supply, which not only provides clean, interference-free power via built-in medical-grade conditioning but also houses essential signal controls. Front-panel switches for a -10dB attenuation pad and a 75Hz linear low-cut filter allow you to expertly manage proximity effect and heavy dynamics before the signal hits your preamp. Expertly designed and hand-crafted in the UK, the ARIA is supplied in a velvet-lined wooden box alongside a custom spider shockmount, a ring mount, and all necessary cables, safely packed into a rugged aluminum flight case.
