The Pipe Black is a highly dynamic and expressive

synthesiser

and effects processor , which is controlled by voice, breathing and mouth movement. The digital synthesiser transforms speech, singing, breathing, humming or beatboxing into bass, lead sounds, rhythms and abstract soundscapes. This makes the whiteness of Soma The Pipe distinctly different from a vocoder and provides a unique selling point. The twelve algorithms Orpheus, Filterra, Synth, Reverb, Madelay, Pulse, Bassdrum (three variants), Octava, Generator and Harcho have been optimised specifically for use with the microphone and offer an amazing spectrum of sound. In addition to volume and algorithm, there are only three knobs and four buttons with whichThe Pipejest is played.

Accessories and extensionsTo

operateThe Pipedo an isolation box, which has a stereo jack (6.3 mm) output and a connection to a power supply. The box, four-pin XLR connection cable and power supply are also included.
Two interchangeable microphones are offered as optional accessories , each optimised for low or high frequency ranges. Depending on the type of microphone used, the algorithms have a stronger effect on the sound.
