The

all-analogue instrument features eight waveform oscillators that can be used individually with their own envelope, but also combined for complex FM sounds.

ExpressiveThe game

is playedLyra-8optionally with an open VCA (Drone mode) or 16 highly sensitive sensors under the oscillators. Each represents a pair of contacts-the top one triggers the envelope and the bottom one the pitch controller. Both keys are so sensitive that the speed, intensity and duration of the press have a significant effect on the sound. Even environmental influences such as higher humidity affect the sensors.

Number 8 is alive

!For modulation, there is a Dual LFO with two frequencies that can be used simultaneously. You can also toggle whether one or both of them produce an effect and whether the second LFO should modulate the first. Complex? No, actually onlyHyper LFO. Further modulations are possible at oscillator level, either additive or instead of an LFO: in pairs, the two oscillators affect a different tone generator, and of course this also works with larger groups.

EffectsThe generated

sounds get their final effect thanks to Dual Delay with attached distortion. The two timelines are separately adjustable and can be made to vibrate on their own if required, creating resonant and pulsating carpets of sound. The timelines can also be modulated by the LFO at different intensities. Transformer sounds,Flanger sounds and everything you could want "Dub "can be achieved in the blink of an eye with this. The post-delay distortion unit makes a huge contribution to the possible sound design.

Lyra-8 can be controlled, for example, in terms of pitch and note length by a sequencer from the modular system, and the delay time can also be modulated via another external CV source.

Audio input

Thanks to the audio input, this instrument is ideal for editing from other sources, such as a drum machine. The actual synthesiser part is bypassed, but the signal flows directly through the double delay and distortion.
