Soma Flux Breakout Box – portable CV/MIDI interface module and MIDI-to-CV converter with Eurorack mounting capability.

The Breakout Box is a versatile unit housed in a compact metal enclosure that significantly expands the capabilities of the FLUX instrument and any CV-based studio setup. It operates in two distinct modes. When paired with FLUX, it enables the instrument to act as a powerful controller for external hardware via CV or MIDI (including MPE), providing access to key parameters like Pitch, Velocity, Tilt, and timbral keyboard data via dedicated outputs. In its second mode, it functions as a standalone MIDI-to-CV converter, compatible with any DAW or sequencer supporting MIDI CC messages.

The front panel and internal construction are designed to allow usage as a standalone desktop device or for mounting as a 6HP Eurorack module. Uniquely, when installed in a Eurorack system, it does not require an internal power supply, as it remains powered via the USB-C port. With non-volatile memory onboard, CV output mapping can be customized via PC and stored directly within the Breakout Box for instant recall.
