By doubling the sound pressure in the lowest frequencies, the HD 660S2 have maintained exceptional precision and balance in the low and mid frequencies and beyond. What is most impressive is how this affects the perception of sound. The extension at the lower end of the frequency range changes everything - creating more space for the sound. Against a deeper background, high frequencies seem brighter and the soundstage is deeper.

The HD 660S2’s velour ear pads can be described as tactile pleasures. With precise tension for correct acoustic positioning and a soft cushion, the headband won’t distract from your music either. Thanks to their open-mesh design, the HD 660S2 provide extremely comfortable conditions for your ears even during very long listening sessions. The low weight and ergonomic headband also eliminate any potential discomfort on the top of your head.

The updated S2 voice coil now matches the legendary HD 600 and HD 650’s 300 Ω resistance. This voice coil also provides higher magnetic force and electrical damping for better impulse response. The spatial sound has also been extended and the resonance frequency has been lowered to 70 Hz. Considerable effort has also been put into optimizing airflow around the driver.
