The SC4 is a high-quality shielded adapter for connecting a microphone with a 3.5mm output to the TRRS jack of a smartphone or tablet. It is suitable for users who want to connect their RØDE VideoMic camera to their iPhone and record it using the ''RØDE Rec'' app (iOS). The gold-plated contacts are colour-coded: Grey indicates TRRS output. Although the SC4 was originally developed for the iPhone or iPad, it is also suitable for many Android devices. Although stereo microphones can be connected to the SC4, the channels are combined into a mono signal for compatibility with the TRRS input.
