RODE NTG2 — a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone designed for professional film, TV, and broadcast applications. It offers exceptional directionality, low self-noise, and flexible powering options, making it ideal for both on-camera and boom-mounted use in indoor or outdoor environments.

The NTG2 features a supercardioid polar pattern with excellent off-axis rejection, providing focused sound capture while minimizing ambient noise. Its frequency response is tailored for rich, natural voice reproduction and crisp detail, with a gentle roll-off at low frequencies to reduce handling and wind noise. Thanks to its low weight and rugged metal housing, the NTG2 performs reliably even in demanding field conditions.

For maximum flexibility, the NTG2 can be powered either via standard 48V phantom power or an internal AA battery, making it suitable for both professional recorders and DSLR setups. It ships with a windshield, mic clip, and pouch, and can be combined with the RØDE Blimp or Boompole for professional location recording.
