RODE NT5 — a precision-engineered small-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for studio, stage, and broadcast use. With its cardioid polar pattern and detailed frequency response, the NT5 delivers clear, accurate sound reproduction, making it ideal for acoustic instruments, drum overheads, orchestral recording, and live performances.
The NT5 features a gold-sputtered ½-inch capsule with a transformerless output stage, ensuring extremely low noise and transparent audio capture. Its linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and smooth high-end detail make it suitable for both close and ambient recording. Capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 143 dB, the NT5 performs equally well on delicate sources like strings and powerful instruments like drums or brass.
Built from precision-machined nickel-plated brass, the NT5 is durable and reliable in demanding environments. It is available individually or as a factory-matched stereo pair, and it can also be fitted with optional omnidirectional capsules (NT45-O) for additional versatility.
