RME M-32 DA – 32-channel 24-bit/192 kHz D/A converter featuring MADI inputs (optical SC + coaxial BNC) and 4× ADAT, parallel 32× TRS 6.3 mm (servo-balanced) and 4× D-sub 25 (balanced) line outputs, SteadyClock clocking, Word Clock I/O, remote control via MIDI/MIDI over MADI, and a 32-channel input meter (6 LEDs per channel). Internally, a temperature-controlled, low-noise fan and oversized 100–240 V switching PSU ensure stable operation.
The M-32 DA delivers reference-grade D/A conversion and flexible I/O: TRS and D-sub outputs have independent circuits and can run simultaneously. Three hardware reference levels (+13 / +19 / +24 dBu) allow integration with studio and installation systems. The MADI input supports channel blocks 1–32 or 33–64, and a thru mode enables cascading multiple units (with automatic delay compensation).
Clocking and synchronization are ensured by SteadyClock, SyncCheck and a terminated Word Clock. Full control is available from the front panel, via MIDI, or remotely via MIDI over MADI (MIDI commands and data embedded invisibly in the stream).
