RME M-1620 Pro – professional 16-channel A/D and 20-channel D/A converter with ADAT, Milan, and MADI connectivity, designed for studio, live, and broadcast applications. Featuring a newly developed front panel with LED level meters, a display, and two independent headphone outputs for monitoring, all in a compact single-height 19-inch rack device. It converts 16 analog line-level signals (switchable up to +24 dBu per channel) to and from MADI, ADAT, and Milan network technology, offering state-of-the-art converters and a flexible internal routing matrix for audio networks. Built-in redundancy includes dual network and dual MADI connections, a monitored DC input, and an internal AC power supply, ensuring seamless operation with full stand-alone capability for direct device settings adjustments and preset recalls. It integrates 128-channel Milan connectivity for direct links to other audio devices via standard Ethernet switches and supports recording and playback of up to 128 channels. The device allows manual configuration of aliasing filters, jitter reduction with SteadyClock FS, and easy integration into existing infrastructure with separate Word Clock BNC and coaxial MADI connectors, with optional optical MADI via an SFP module.

The device stands out with high-quality conversion, low noise and distortion levels, making it ideal for professional audio environments requiring precision and reliability. Redundant power and network sources ensure uninterrupted operation even in live conditions, while advanced routing options allow flexible signal management. The compact design and intuitive control make the M-1620 Pro a versatile solution for sound engineers.
