Peluso P-47 SS carries the character of the legendary Neumann U47 onto a solid-state FET platform, in the spirit of U47 FET models — no tube, no separate power supply, but keeping the dense, large-diaphragm character.

A center-terminated 34mm brass capsule, designed around the legendary U47, paired with a custom output transformer delivers the same kind of dense, large-diaphragm sound, but in a maintenance-free, solid-state package ready to work on tour.

Three Patterns and High SPL Handling

Omni, figure-8, and cardioid cover most studio applications, and a -10/-20dB pad plus a switchable 75Hz roll-off let you safely track loud sources — a max SPL of 164dB with the pad engaged gives plenty of headroom for kick drum or a guitar cabinet.

Like the P-87, the solid-state design eliminates tube warm-up time and keeps parameters stable regardless of room temperature — an advantage when working on the road.
