Neumann WSB is a foam windscreen of open-cell polyurethane made for the Neumann KU 100 dummy head, reducing wind and close-range noise in binaural recordings.

Binaural recording outdoors

A dummy head records the scene exactly as ears would hear it, including every gust of wind on the ear microphones. The WSB reduces wind noise by about 15 dB with roughly 3 dB loss at 15 kHz and no change to the directional behaviour.
