Neumann U 87 Ai mt studio set – a professional large-diaphragm microphone set with the EA 87 mt shock mount and a wooden case, built for demanding vocal, voice-over, and instrument recording sessions.

This is one of Neumann’s most established studio references. Three switchable polar patterns, a low-cut filter, and a -10 dB pad give precise control at the recording stage. The matte black mt finish keeps the look discreet, while 48 V phantom power integrates it into a standard studio signal chain.

Vocal focus and detail

The U 87 Ai is known for a clear midrange, refined top end, and dependable presence on lead vocals. Its dual-diaphragm capsule maintains a consistent response across omni, cardioid, and figure-8 modes, making it easy to adapt the mic to voice, acoustic instruments, or ambient capture.

Studio control built in
