The TLM 49 reimagines the smooth sound of 1950s tube microphones using modern FET technology. Its transformerless circuitry is engineered to emulate the harmonic richness and natural compression of vintage tube designs, producing subtle saturation at higher sound pressure levels. This allows the TLM 49 to achieve a natural “tube-like” response with low self-noise of just 12 dB-A and high reliability, without the need for external power supplies or tube maintenance.
