Neumann M 149 tube
Choose options
Neumann M 149 Tube is a large-diaphragm tube condenser with nine polar patterns and a transformerless tube circuit, combining classic tube warmth with very low self-noise.
Tube character without the noise
Vintage tube microphones colour the sound beautifully but add hiss. The M 149 uses a transformerless tube output stage, reaching as low as 11 dB-A, so it keeps the warmth on vocals and solo instruments while staying quiet enough for sparse, dynamic material.
Fine control of pattern and low end
Nine polar patterns, including intermediate positions between omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure-8, plus a seven-stage high-pass filter from 20 to 160 Hz, let you shape the sound at the source instead of fixing it later.
