Neumann KM 184 mt Stereo Set is a matched microphone pair including two KM 184 small-diaphragm condenser microphones and accessories. With a frequency-independent cardioid pattern, the KM 184 captures sound with remarkable accuracy, clarity, and depth. Its extremely natural and transparent sound, low self-noise, and high SPL handling make it a world standard for studio and stage applications — from classical piano recordings to heavy metal drums.

Unlike microphones designed to add coloration, the KM 184 belongs to Neumann’s Series 180, built to reproduce acoustic events faithfully without altering their tone. The cardioid pattern remains consistent across the entire frequency spectrum, providing excellent rejection of rear sound (180°) even at low frequencies. The KM 184 maintains a smooth, linear frequency response with a gentle rise around 9 kHz, adding brilliance without harshness.
