Nektar Impact GX Mini

Nektar Impact GX Mini is a straightforward USB controller keyboard with 25 mini keys and full Nektar DAW integration. Instead of an elaborate control section you get what actually saves time: transport, project navigation and instrument control that works without configuration.

A controller you do not have to program

The biggest time sink with cheap keyboards is mapping: an hour to assign transport, then another for the mixer. Nektar installs an integration package for your DAW and the buttons work immediately — start, stop, record, track switching. That single thing separates a controller used daily from one that lives in a drawer.

It fits in a backpack next to the laptop

In place of pitch and modulation wheels there is a small spring-loaded joystick — it takes less room and returns to centre by itself, so you will not leave a note accidentally detuned. Besides USB there is only a sustain pedal input, and that is enough: the point is one cable and playing.
