Millennia HV-32P is a portable two-channel microphone preamp built from a pair of HV-32 circuits in a standalone case. It runs from the included universal power supply or from a 12 to 15 V DC battery, which makes it usable for field recording, location work and a compact studio desk.
Stereo capture away from the studio
Two matched channels cover stereo pairs and dual-mic setups. Continuously variable gain goes from 14.5 dB (1 dB with the pad) up to 60 dB, and a DC-coupled ribbon mode adds a 10 dB boost for quiet ribbon microphones, giving 70 dB in total. 48 V phantom power is on board for condensers.
Low noise for quiet sources
Equivalent input noise is -130 dB and the response extends from below 10 Hz to above 200 kHz, so ambience, acoustic instruments and choirs are recorded with little added noise.
