LEWITT MTP 50 is a microphone handle with XLR output, sold as a standalone component of the LEWITT MTP W950 modular accessory system. Designed specifically for the W9 capsule – no capsule included. It allows users who already own a W9 capsule in a wireless configuration to build a complete wired XLR microphone without purchasing a full MTP W950 set.
The Logic of the MTP W950 Modular System
The MTP W950 is a two-part system: the W9 capsule and the MTP 50 handle. The W9 unscrews from the handle and mounts directly onto compatible wireless transmitters (Shure, Lectrosonics, Sony, Line6, Mipro ACT) or Sennheiser systems via the Ambient HHA adapter. The MTP 50 is the other half of that system – it turns the same capsule into a standard wired XLR condenser microphone running on 48V phantom power. The practical result: a single W9 capsule covers both wireless stage use and wired rehearsal or studio sessions, without buying two separate microphones. The zinc die-cast handle body is built to the same road-ready standard as the rest of the MTP series. The set includes a mic clip and a zippered carrying case.
