This cable is the essential link between the microphone capsule and its external tube power supply on the hybrid LCT 840 and LCT 940 designs, where signal, power, and polar-pattern control all travel over a single, multi-pin connector. Without the right 11-pin cable, the complex tube-powering and pattern-switching system stays inaccessible — a standard 3-pin XLR mic cable can't carry that functionality.

One Connection for Signal, Power, and Mode Control

Hybrid tube/FET microphones need to carry more than just an audio signal — the tube power supply also has to deliver heater and plate voltage to the tube, and receive polar-pattern switching commands from a remote control panel.
