Built for conference rooms, boardrooms, and broadcast studios, where a gooseneck microphone (such as Lewitt's GN15X, GN35X, or GN35X2 series) needs nothing more than a stable, sturdy table mount, with mute control handled centrally from the mixing console or conference system rather than at the speaker's position. This is the base variant of the B70 series, simpler than the AS version, but keeping the same mechanical and acoustic build quality.

Solid Mounting Without Adding Installation Complexity

In large conference rooms with many microphone positions, extra buttons and electronics at every unit add cost and complicate servicing. B70A solves this by offering a purely mechanical, solid base with no onboard mute logic — mute control stays centralized at the console or room controller, simplifying integration in installations with a dozen or more positions. The zinc die-cast housing delivers the same mechanical durability as the pricier AS variant.

Damping Noise Transmitted Through the Tabletop

Gooseneck microphones are especially prone to picking up vibration from the tabletop — a knock on the table, papers being shuffled, or a hand resting nearby all generate low-frequency noise that easily bleeds into the signal. The shape and mass of the B70A base, combined with its rigid zinc die-cast housing, effectively damps this structure-borne noise before it reaches the capsule mounted at the end of the gooseneck, resulting in a cleaner signal without needing extra low-cut filtering at the mixer.
