At its heart lies the powerful EDS-XP (Enhanced Definition Synthesis-Expanded) sound engine, supported by an 8-inch tiltable touchscreen and a colorful user interface. The instrument offers over 2200 factory sounds (including pianos from the SV-2 and sounds from Kronos and Nautilus) and over 600 programmable styles. A unique feature of the Pa5X is its two independent XDS players with a crossfader, allowing for seamless mixing of styles, MIDI files, and MP3s without sound interruption (Smooth Sound Transition). Housed in a sturdy aluminum chassis with elegant wooden side panels, the final signal quality is ensured by Waves MaxxAudio and Shift Audio processors.
