Klotz GRG1MP01.5 is a 1.5 metre balanced cable from the GREYHOUND series with a male XLR and a balanced 6.3 mm jack. The short length is intended for connections inside a rack and on a desk.
A tidy rack instead of a coil of surplus cable
Using a three metre cable between two units half a metre apart leaves a coil behind the rack that collects hum and blocks access to the connectors. One and a half metres is enough to link an interface to a processor, or a mixer output to a recorder, without leaving slack to stuff away.
The same conductor as the longer runs
A shorter cable does not mean cheaper parts: the 99.95 percent copper conductor, the spiral shield and the metal connectors are identical across the series. Nickel-plated contacts and the PVC jacket handle repeated re-patching, so the cable also suits location work where connections change several times a day.
