KETRON SD80 is a professional arranger module in a compact housing, the expander version of the Ketron SD7 keyboard. With a colour touch screen it delivers the same sound and arranger resources as the keyboard, providing a mobile centre of styles, voices and a player for a musician playing with a master keyboard, MIDI accordion or digital piano.
A mobile arranger for the touring player
A musician gigging in different venues needs the full arranger sound without transporting a large keyboard. The SD80 provides 260 styles with a library of more than 300 Latin percussion sets and 49 drum sets, synchronised to the internal clock. Pianist and Bassist play modes plus a dedicated accordion menu automatically configure the settings for a specific controller. At around 4 kg the module fits in a backpack, and the Aux Out section lets you route drums, bass, the right-hand part or click to a separate output.
Realistic voices and live editing
Plastic-sounding solo tones are a common weakness of cheaper modules. The SD80 offers a rich orchestral library: a stereo grand piano, brass and saxophone sections, basses, strings, pads, electric pianos, synths and organs with a faithful rotary slow/fast effect. Panel sliders allow real-time control of drum, bass, chord and Lower section volumes, while layering of up to 4 voices with the 2nd Voice function and saving changes to the User location give full control without overwriting factory voices.
