KETRON SD1000 is a compact professional sound module designed to work with master keyboards, MIDI players and computer sequencers. It combines full General MIDI compatibility with additional Ketron orchestral sound banks and a rich library of audio drum loops, making it a flexible sound source for live work and the home studio.
Realistic voices and Live Drum Modelling
Standard MIDI file playback often sounds stiff and unnatural. The SD1000 offers 512 voices, including a stereo grand piano over 88 notes, authentic guitars, saxophones, brass, organs and accordions. Live Drum Modelling technology reproduces the same percussion instrument from different samples, capturing the natural variation of a live drummer's performance. That is the real difference between a mechanical and a convincing sound in an arrangement.
Flexible setup integration
Two MIDI ports (2x16 channels) allow two MIDI files to play simultaneously, enabling a mix or smooth transitions between songs while playing. An integrated USB port simplifies connection to a laptop, and ready-made sound maps for Cubase, Logic and Cakewalk give immediate control over the module's resources from the sequencer. An extensive, programmable DSP with reverb, chorus, rotary, wah-wah and high-quality distortion plus two inserts lets you refine the sound without reaching for external effects.
