K&M Roughline 1 is a premium microphone stand from a line König & Meyer built specifically for the Polish market. The design answers what touring engineers and gigging musicians actually ask of a stand: mass in the base, no play in the joint, and adjustment you can work one-handed.
Play in the joint is the end of a stand
On cheaper stands the joint is bolted to the shaft and after a few dozen setups it starts to creep — the microphone slowly sinks during the show. Here the joint is permanently fixed to the shaft, so there is nothing to work loose. A clamping nut with a pin is included as well, locking the position harder than the knob alone.
Usable in gloves and in the dark
Large knobs let you set the stand without looking, which matters on a dark stage and during a fast backline change. The rubberised clamping sleeve runs the shaft smoothly across the 900 to 1600 mm range, and the zinc die-cast base holds a heavier microphone without an added counterweight.
