IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD is a compact high-definition microphone preamp with an XLR input and 48 V phantom power. It converts audio at 24-bit up to 96 kHz and connects to iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC. See recording gear in our Warsaw showroom.

An XLR microphone with a phone or a laptop

A studio microphone needs a preamp, phantom power and a converter, and in the field nobody wants to carry an interface. The iRig Pre HD has a balanced XLR input, a 40 dB gain range and +48 V phantom power (for which the two AA batteries in the box are needed). The response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 1.5 dB and the input noise is -97 dB RMS (-105 dB(A)). The microphone input level spans 6 mVpp to 1.4 Vpp at 2 kOhm impedance.

Monitoring and portability

The 3.5 mm TRS headphone output with a level wheel gives 100 mW into 50 ohms. The micro-USB socket connects to the device with the Lightning, USB-A or USB-C cable from the box, and with a computer it takes power from the USB bus. The unit measures 40 x 110 x 34 mm and weighs 75 g without batteries, and a Velcro strip is included for mounting.

If the product cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a new one, or in the absence of an available model, we will replace it with an analogous one in the same price range or refund the entire amount that has been paid. The most important thing is that the product is used properly.
