IK Multimedia iRig Mic Studio XLR is a studio condenser microphone in a metal body with a 1 inch capsule and a cardioid pickup pattern. It works with any interface or preamp that has an XLR input and +48 V phantom power, and with the mobile iRig Pre, iRig Pro Duo and iRig Pro interfaces it gives professional-level recording quality. Vocals from the desk or a stand without buying mounts

A studio microphone usually needs a cable and a mount bought separately. The Mic Studio XLR comes with a 2 meter XLR cable, a microphone stand mount and a small desktop tripod, so you can record a voice-over, vocals or guitar right away at a desk or on a stand. The body measures 117 x 46 mm and weighs 218 g.

Sensitivity and headroom

A back-electret condenser capsule covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The maximum sound pressure level is 141 dB, the equivalent noise level is 17 dB (A) and the sensitivity is -37.5 dB, so it handles a quiet voice as well as loud sources.
